Common questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Editing happens inside your browser. Your file and signature stay on your device and are never sent to a server.
Can I change the text that's already in the PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit text and click any line to retype it, or delete it to erase that line. The new text uses the closest standard font and the original background color. Scanned pages work too: click Find text (OCR) on the page first. The old words are covered rather than deleted, so don't use this to hide private information.
How do I sign a PDF?
Click Sign, then draw your signature with a mouse or finger, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature (the white paper is removed for you). Drag it into place and resize it with the corners.
Can I fill in PDF forms?
Yes. If the PDF has form fields, they show as blue boxes. Click them to type, tick boxes or pick options. Choose Lock the answers if nobody should change them later.
Is the PDF Editor free?
Yes, completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
