Common questions
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. The recording is made inside your browser and stays on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why is there no sound from my screen?
When your browser asks what to share, tick Share audio. Chrome and Edge can record the sound of a tab, or of the whole screen on Windows. Firefox and Safari record the microphone only.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No watermark and no limit. Recordings are kept in memory until you save them, so for very long sessions, stop and save every hour or so.
What format is the video?
MP4 where the browser supports it, otherwise WebM. Use Convert Video to turn a WebM into MP4, or Compress Video to make it smaller.
